UX Research processes and methods to test and redesign the ‘Schedule a Tour’ function.

Objective

Our objective was to evaluate the current user experience using the ‘Schedule a Tour’ function on Apartments.com. We conducted several UX research tests to identify pain points, assess user expectations, and uncover barriers that may prevent users from successfully scheduling tours. Using these insights, we then redesigned the scheduling function for a smoother user experience.

Context

The "Schedule a Tour" feature on Apartments.com is a crucial step in the rental search process. However, friction in the scheduling experience can lead to user frustration and abandoned bookings. This UX research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the current scheduling process through a combination of testing.
